Back pain and an overall unhealthy lifestyle had Ruth Peterson feeling down much of the day. She was able to turn around her health and her life utilizing exercise at the Y and an app to monitor her nutrition and lost 107 pounds.
“I became stronger and I wanted to build on whatever I was doing and added more reps,” Peterson said.
The Conrad resident went from barely being able to move without a chiropractor to running 5Ks.
“I have all this ability and capability now,” she said. “I have a life now and it feels great.”
Her story was so interesting that she was featured in People magazine. Her message to others is the same as to her former self, that anything is possible and you are capable of way more than you think, you just have to give it a try.
“I didn’t realize how capable and possible everything was,” she said.
