The Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA Lap Pool upgrades on October 29, 2024. The work included more than $50,000 worth of upgrades to the scorer’s area, bleachers and projection system at the Linda Bloom Natatorium. MARSHALLTOWN Company provided the lead gift to make the project possible, with additional support from the Ann C Keyser Trust, a tourism grant from the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce and private donors. These improvements have come at just the right time as the Y prepares to host the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Swimming and Diving Championships on November 15 and 16.
